A. Outcome Resources is owned and operated by Doctors of Pharmacy. When you partner with OR, experienced clinical pharmacists are available to your staff on an unlimited basis for individual patient consultations regarding palliative symptom management, new drug and research information, opioid dose conversion, etc. Pharmacists are also available to present customized education programs. In addition, OR provides hospice formulary development services and medication management reporting and analysis.
Q. Which pharmacies can we use with Outcome Resources?
A. We are contracted with 60,000 pharmacies nationwide. To find out which local pharmacies your hospice can use, click on
Pharmacy Search. Your patients can also choose to use a convenient Mail Order Pharmacy. In addition, OR is contracted with most closed-door pharmacies utilized by Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Q. How does Outcome Resources customize my hospice's services?
A. Outcome Resources' clinicians will partner with you to develop a plan that works best for your hospice. This includes a customized formulary and plan design. You may utilize OR for all or a portion of your patients. OR also provides customized management reports, individual clinical consulting, and education programs that will be tailored to your staff's unique needs and challenges. Since each hospice's plan is unique, we will assign you a Dedicated Account Manager skilled in claims processing. Our 24/7 Live customer service means no anonymous call centers or answering services.
Q. Would my hospice have to follow a strict formulary?
A. You can choose to use a formulary that you have now, or we will be happy to assist you in developing a preferred drug list specifically for your hospice. You receive discounts on all medications and set your own prior authorizations and parameters. There are no "penalties" for utilizing drugs outside of your formulary, because each hospice patient is unique and patient care is our first priority.
