Leveraging Clinical Education to Lower Hospice Pharmacy CostsAt Outcome Resources we know that staying up-to-date on the latest information is one of the keys in lowering hospice pharmacy benefits management costs. That’s why we offer a myriad of educational opportunities for hospice nurses, management and clinical staff. Many of our educational programs are accredited by the California Board of Registered Nurses for 1 hour CEU.
We provide our hospice PBM partners with live webinars, teleconferences and on-site educational programs with an experienced clinical pharmacist on a scheduled basis. All live education programs are custom-tailored to meet the needs of our partners, and can include events for hospice nurses, prescribing physicians, administration team, or entire staff.
Similar to a video teleconference, participants log on from any computer with an Internet connection to view a live presentation and interact with our palliative care team and clinical pharmacist.
Clinical pharmacists experienced in hospice and palliative care are also available for scheduled teleconferences to discuss current trends, answer common questions, or consult on patient care.
In addition to our live options, Outcome Resources offers self-paced, online education programs. Nurses from our hospice PBM partners can log on to our Member Section at their convenience to take continuing education courses accredited by the California Board of Registered Nurses. There area total of 10 different programs available at any given time. Programs are rotated and new ones are added to keep them up-to-date and relevant.
Upon request we can provide our hospice pharmacy benefits management partners with periodic reports that include the names and test scores of their nurses who register and take the courses.
Hospice Pharmacy Benefits Management Newsletter and BlogDesigned specifically to address current and relevant pharmacy and drug topics, Outcome Resources publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Clinician.
